Richard, who will be based at the specialist bank’s Manchester office, will report directly to the risk director for invoice finance Clive Gould.
His responsibilities will include risk management and the oversight of the invoice finance portfolio.
Richard joins Aldermore with over 19 years of experience in invoice finance, during which time he has served in a number of senior positions at RBS, including head of portfolio management.
His most recent position at RBS saw him work as part of the transformation change team as integration director.

Richard said: “I am joining Aldermore at a very exciting time as the bank continues to gain a greater foothold in the small- and medium-sized business market.
