Midlands Asset Finance appears in Parliamentary Review

Midlands Asset Finance (MAF) has represented the finance sector after appearing in the 2017 edition of the Parliamentary Review.

The finance broker took the opportunity to talk about how fintech had changed the lending market and transformed the way people did business.

Sue Chapman, director of MAF, who set up the company in 2009, was invited to submit her report to the publication about best practice, culture and the challenges the business had faced over the past 12 months and how it overcame them.

Sue explained how MAF’s new digital platform Asset Finance Compared had made accessing asset finance more flexible by delivering decisions in principle in 60 seconds.

“Only a handful of companies across the UK are selected to take part each year and to receive this level of recognition is a reward in itself for what we have achieved as a team and in the financial intermediary market,” said Sue.

“2017 has been a great year for us so far.

“Our team continues to grow and we have expanded into bigger premises following the launch of Asset Finance Compared.”

Sue explained that the new platform supported its existing business perfectly.

“Many asset finance providers have moved their smaller retail customers to a call centre, but we believe customers should have a choice as many customers like doing business face to face with someone who is prepared to invest time in understanding their business.

“We’re giving customers two routes to market – face to face and online.”

The parliamentary review is distributed to around 40,000 businesses across the UK and aims to showcase exceptional practice as a learning tool to both public and private sectors.
