Octane confirms departure of Tom Clark

Specialist lender Octane Capital has confirmed the departure of Tom Clark (pictured above).

Tom was part of the launch team at Octane Capital and held the sales director position.

Tom joined the lender from Wellesley Finance where he was head of intermediaries and, previously to that, head of bridging.

Tom’s departure comes as Octane announced a record month as it completed £30m of loans in April and passed £150m of completions in its first year.

Octane also revealed that Dominic Sheahan will be joining from Kent Reliance in June to take up a senior business development manager role.

“We’re delighted to welcome onboard Dominic Sheahan, a highly experienced BDM, who we are confident will make an immediate impact and help us to further scale the business in line with our growth plans,” said Mark Posniak, managing director at Octane Capital.

“As a company, we would also like to wish Tom Clark all the best for the future.”

Jonathan Samuels, CEO at Octane Capital, added that to pass £150m of completions in its first 12 months and £30m in April alone was the perfect way to celebrate its first birthday.

“But since launch, the most satisfying thing of all has been the way brokers have embraced the ‘productless’ lending model  we offer.

“The third generation of lending is focused on getting simple and complex clients alike to completion in the quickest time possible, not adherence to rigid and often uncommercial criteria.”
