Marcus – who qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1999 – has been working at a senior level for property companies closing acquisitions and raising debt and equity finance since 2004.
For five years he was head of transaction management at Catalyst Capital, where he worked on debt and equity structuring of finance for offices, retail and warehouse properties in the UK and Europe.

Marcus has also undertaken loan arrangement and equity structuring in student housing and the residential sector for Apache Capital, Millbank Group and Valeo Student.
It is the third recent appointment made by Peritus with Matthew Slade and Andrew Goodbody also joining the company.
Peritus now employs over 23 staff across its private finance and corporate finance teams in offices in London and Newcastle.
In 2017, it transacted over £425m of real estate debt, assisting with bridging finance, development finance and investment finance, including senior, mezzanine and equity.
