Chris Stamper to leave Aldermore

Aldermore has announced that Chris Stamper (pictured above) will step down from its board following six years as a non-executive director.

Chris — who joined the board of Aldermore in May 2013 — will also depart from his directorship of AFS Group Holdings Ltd, a partner of the specialist bank.

“I would like to thank Phillip [Monks, CEO] and all of the team at Aldermore for their support during the past six years,” said Chris.

“While always difficult to make the decision to leave, I look forward to following the bank’s progress in the future.

“This is a hugely exciting time, with many opportunities for growth ahead under FirstRand’s ownership, and following Aldermore’s integration with MotoNovo.”

Pat Butler, chairman at Aldermore, added: “I would like to thank Chris for the enormous contribution he has made to Aldermore, and in helping to develop our lending and asset finance businesses.

“Aldermore has been on an incredible journey over the past few years, and Chris has played a significant role in leading the business through this — most recently following our acquisition by FirstRand.”
