Steve will build the first in-house, fully immersed software engineering team at the bank.
The new team will oversee the company’s development of digital financial services and tools.
Its aim will be to meet the needs of SMEs by putting the customer first.
Steve has over 23 years of experience in banking technology and previously worked at Santander UK Technology.

“I’m looking forward to sharing my experience of working with a large institution to help build the digital proposition of a new bank from scratch,” said Steve.
“We are going to develop an engineering team with collaboration and continuous feedback and improvement at the heart.”
He added that this would put Allica Bank on track to build a bank that enabled SMEs to succeed, supported by modern tools and local relationships.
