Central Trust improves portal and originations platform

Central Trust has enhanced its front-end portal and developed its own origination platform in order to improve the journey for its broker customers.

The portal now provides AIP referrals directly to the mortgage desk and electronic income verification, as well as the option for users to upload documents.

New applications can be submitted by a broker directly via the portal and into the origination platform without the need to email any details or documentation separately.

When documents are received via the portal, the underwriting team will provide a same-day update on all submissions received prior to 1pm — otherwise updates will be within 24 hours of receipt.

All new AIPs that require a referral can be done so via the portal directly to the mortgage desk team, who will respond within one hour.

Referrals will be visible to the underwriting team on submission of an application.

The enhanced portal also allows brokers to check the progress of a case in real time.

Maeve Ward, director of commercial operations at Central Trust (pictured above), said: “We put service at the heart of everything we do — following our recent improvements to our products and criteria, we wanted to ensure that brokers, whether new to Central Trust or those who have dealt with us before, would all receive first-rate service via a technologically advanced portal.

“We appreciate that a journey for one person might not work for another, and while the system is our preferred submission route, we will for a period of time accept email submissions from brokers while we provide them with training on the new system.

“We have invested heavily in our systems and today’s announcement is the culmination of much of that investment, all in service of our commitment to providing service which is second to none.”
