Each charity will receive £15,000, amassed throughout Reward’s year-long fundraising campaign.
Founded in 1991, Barnabus provides practical support to vulnerable and homeless people in the Manchester area through its support centre, case workers and tenancy resettlement team.
Meanwhile, Aching Arms helps grieving parents cope with miscarriages, stillbirths and child loss.
The Leeds charity — which currently works with over 170 UK hospitals, as well as hospices, support groups and funeral directors — donates “comfort bears” for bereaved parents.
It also provides direct help to parents via its Supporting Arms telephone and email service, which is run by people with similar experiences.
The Reward team took part in a variety of activities to raise the sum, including dragon boat racing, taking part in a street sleep-out, hosting its annual charity quiz, and completing the Leeds 10k Clarion Corporate Challenge.
Carol Price, fundraising manager at Barnabus, commented: “The generous and heartfelt commitment, energy and incredible fundraising support we received from Reward has been a tremendous blessing and encouragement to our continuing and ever-growing work.

“The money raised ensures that we can continue to offer vital support, so that people can break free from the cycle of homelessness and have hope for the future.”

“Our 12-month partnership with Reward has been extremely successful,” said Mel Barclay, trustee at Aching Arms.
“We are very grateful to the team for the guidance, support and knowledge it provided and the many physically challenging fundraising events it hosted.
“The money raised will enable the charity to continue its work in supporting newly bereaved families who experience the loss of their baby before, during or shortly after birth.”
Nick Smith, group MD at Reward, added: “Working closely with both charities has really opened our eyes to Barnabus’ commitment to helping homeless and vulnerable people and the community, as well as the essential services provided by Aching Arms to grieving parents.
“The team here at Reward worked tirelessly to reach a fundraising target that exceeded our expectations and we’d like to both thank everyone involved and wish the charities all the best for the year ahead.”
