He succeeds Simon Moore, who has retired from the bank after 10 years as a board member.
Patrick joined the specialist lender as a non-executive director in June 2021 and became chair of audit three months later.
He spent the bulk of his career at PwC, where he focused on strategy and performance improvement, as well as other matters within the financial services and insurance sectors.

In June, Cambridge & Counties Bank reached £1bn of lending, while its staff numbers increased to over 200 for the first time in its 10-year history.
