BFS invests £2m into HQ expansion

Bridging Finance Solutions (BFS) has committed to invest over £2m into an expansion programme of its Wirral-based headquarters, paving the way for further growth.

The short-term lender has taken the decision to retain its original site in Wallasey, Wirral, while purchasing, demolishing, and developing adjacent properties and reconfiguring the existing buildings.

BFS is now in its 18th year of operation and currently employs a team of 25 — under the latest growth plans, the firm expects to take on an additional 17 staff in the coming two to three years, including five apprentices.

BFS has appointed architects, Condy Lofthouse, to design the scheme, and Turner Associates as Management Surveyors.

Steve Barber, managing director at BFS, commented: “We are seeing an average compound year-on-year growth of 25%, and so inevitably we are beginning to outgrow our original home as we build our team to meet demand.

“This is the largest office investment this town has seen for decades and is of huge importance to the local business community and wider community.

“Work is set to begin imminently — this is a project that we’ve been working on now for over two years and has involved extensive consultation, design and planning to make it the right fit for the business and the area.

“This development marks the next stage for us and provides us with the infrastructure on which to build on.”
