Q3 sees record-breaking online auction sales despite challenging market conditions




A record number of properties have been sold via online auction between July and September 2023, proptech firm iamproperty has revealed.

According to the Online Auction Index for Q3 by iamproperty, 2,530 properties were successfully sold online.

This marks a 31% year-on-year surge and a 7% increase on the previous quarter.

The capital value also climbed to a new high, exceeding a record £431m in the Q3 2023.


This marks a 5% rise on the previous quarter and a notable 27% hike from the corresponding period last year.

August sales alone amounted to over £155m, setting a new record for iamproperty in terms of most capital value in a single month.

Jamie Cooke, co-founder of iamproperty, commented: “The summer saw a phenomenal few months for auction.

“I’ve no doubt that demand for auction will hold strong throughout Q4.”
