Gene has almost 20 years of banking and finance experience, holding several senior credit positions including director of underwriting at LendInvest, and most recently, senior proposition manager at Shawbrook Bank.

UTB Bridging’s senior underwriting managers will report to Gene who in turn will report to director of bridging, Sundeep Patel.

Over the last year, Sundeep has structured UTB’s bridging underwriting team to be able to manage regulated and unregulated bridging applications separately.

Teams now deal with core business and more complex proposals differently due to the varying requirements of underwriting regulated and unregulated loans.

Gene’s initial priorities will be to continue to develop the firm’s credit strategy and to identify potential process improvements which can further enhance UTB’s service proposition.
