Affirmative Finance has appointed a brand new Business Development Manager, as the company looks to expand its business within central UK and Wales.

Affirmative Finance has appointed Ray McCarthy as Business Development Manager for the Central UK and Wales region, as the business looks to assist its growing list of broker partners within the area.

Ray has over 17 years of experience as a broker and business development manager across a wide range of secured lending practices.

Speaking on his appointment, Ray McCarthy, Business Development Manager, said: “As an ex broker myself I understand the challenges brokers face, particularly in today’s climate of restrictive lending and the implications of MMR.

“I believe that brokers who are knowledgeable about all aspects of finance are more likely to retain their clients and more importantly, attract new business. Business Development is a role I revel in, I enjoy helping intermediaries grow their business utilising innovative products and am a keen advocate in sharing good ideas about marketing and best practices.”

Also commenting on Ray’s appointment, Eugene Esterkin, Managing Director at Affirmative Finance, said: “I am delighted to welcome Ray to our growing team here at Affirmative. The area he will cover is a crucial area for us and I have no doubt that with the experience he brings to the role, he will make a significant impact in assisting our broker partners across the region.”

Affirmative, based in Manchester, recently celebrated its 10th anniversary, completing £500 million worth of deals since launching back in 2004.

Eugene added: “The whole team at Affirmative gives a big “Thank you” to all our broker base, valuers, solicitors and other professional contacts, and not least to all its customers, for the business it has conducted in its first 10 years. Also, a special thank you to Mo Mulki and B&C for its unique contribution to the sector.”
