p>A law firm operating in conveyancing has seen the regulator freeze the activities of two of its solicitors on the same day.
On Wednesday last week, Katherine Jane Bradford and Gerard Christopher Mann of Stoffel & Co were struck off the Roll of Solicitors. As a result the SRA has stepped in and stopped the pair from operating and also has the authority to seize relevant funds to protect the interests of affected clients.
The interventions for the duo were made on the grounds that action was necessary to protect the interests of both former and potential clients.
The Kent-based law firm which deals in banking law and conveyancing saw both Ms Bradford and Mr Mann prosecuted on the 30th January last year.
Both their cases were heard on the 4th February of this year, and the regulator struck both Mr Mann and Katherine Jane Bradford off of the Roll of Solicitors. The full judgment will be released in due course.
Stoffel and Co Solicitors is based on 48 High Street, Beckenham, Kent and the respective ID numbers for Miss Bradford and Mann are 114289 and 104155.
