p>United Trust Bank has exclusively revealed to B&C that it has hired Robert Owen as Director of Specialist Mortgages as the bank looks to diversify its product offering.
United Trust Bank has secured ex-Central Trust CEO, Robert Owen, as Director of Specialist Mortgages after announcing that it is continuing to develop its range of lending products.
Robert’s new role will consist of leading a new department which will explore opportunities for United Trust Bank to participate in mortgage markets.
Robert has over 30 years’ worth of experience in the UK banking and building society sectors, where he has held roles such as Divisional Director at Lloyds TSB and Chief Executive at Matlock Bank, where he founded London Mortgage Company in 2000.
White Label Lending, the consumer finance business for the West Bromwich Building Society, was also established by Robert.
He also held the role as Senior Independent Director at Al Ryan Bank plc, Chairman of its Audit committee and Chairman of the Bank during the change of ownership in 2013.

Robert Owen left Central Trust Limited in July last year around the same time as its Commercial Director Buster Tolfree, who Loan Talk also recently announced has joined UTB as Commercial Director.
