p>With less than a month to go until the prestigious Bridging & Commercial Awards, the final stage was conducted last Thursday where our judges made the ultimate decisions on this year’s industry winners.

The judging day took place at the Radisson Blu in Portman Square where a broker and lender panel made up of industry leaders split into two rooms to deliberate the shortlisted nominees in each category.

The broker panel judged the lender-related awards while the lender panel looked over the broker-related awards, along with two Medianett representatives on each panel.

The judging panels can be viewed here.

After some very deliberated discussions during the judging process, Bridging & Commercial caught up with a few panel members to find out their experiences of the process.

"It was an interesting day of discussing and deliberating the strengths of the nominees,” said Director at MT Finance Tomer Aboody.

“This was a difficult job and some tough decisions were made as there were so many impressive testimonials submitted, demonstrating the many great businesses operating within the sector, which was great to see.

“I am delighted to be part of the Bridging & Commercial Award’s judging process, and I’m looking forward to the event."

Meanwhile, Chief Executive of Regentsmead, James Bloom, said the lenders present had a lively debate.

“There were strong candidates in a number of the categories which made deciding the winners pretty tough but we got there in the end,” said James.

“We were very pleased to be involved in the process and look forward to being involved in the future.”

Head of Underwriting at United Trust Bank Gavin Diamond, added: “I was very impressed with the transparency and fairness of the judging process and felt that all nominees were given an equal chance of success.”

The winners will be announced at the highly anticipated Bridging & Commercial Awards on 11th June at the Hurlingham Club.
