James Wharton MP was shown around the new offices following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 40 Spring Gardens in Manchester’s city centre.
Charles Haresnape, Group Managing Director of Mortgages at Aldermore, said: “It’s great that we are able to welcome the Minister for the Northern Powerhouse to our Manchester offices.
“Aldermore is proud to have a significant presence in the North and we are committed to helping businesses and individuals, across the region and the UK, to achieve their goals and ambitions.”
The minister was also introduced to representatives from the bank’s business finance, human resources and marketing teams.
Almost 350 of Aldermore’s total employees are based across its three northern sites in Manchester, Leeds and Wilmslow.
Mr Wharton praised Aldermore for lending £1.3bn to businesses across the northern region.
He added: “We’re determined to rebalance the economy and build a Northern Powerhouse.
“It is really encouraging that companies like Aldermore are choosing to locate offices in prime Northern Powerhouse locations like Manchester.
“I hope to see other key financial institutions looking to do the same.”
Established in 2009, Aldermore now lends over £6.5bn to SMEs, landlords and homeowners nationwide.
