Raphael Benggio follows James Bloom, former chief executive at Regentsmead, who joined Masthaven as managing director of development finance in July.
In a tweet dated 23rd August, Raphael said: “Great first day @MasthavenFin! A lot to learn & take in but feels great to be part of the team. Looking forward to the exciting times ahead!”
Raphael joined Regentsmead in 2013, and was involved with managing the loan book and liaising with surveyors, solicitors and borrowers.
James Bloom moved to Masthaven after 29 years at Regentsmead to head up its new development finance division.
The 30-strong division will see Masthaven launching a number of new short- and long-term development products.
This appointment takes place ahead of the firm’s imminent transformation into Masthaven Bank, which will see it compete with established challenger banks.
Masthaven has been approached for comment.
