Brokers still enthusiastic about Mortgage Business Expo

.

Despite the challenging current climate, mortgage intermediaries reportedly have a strong appetite for this year’s Mortgage Business Expo, to be held in November.

According to Marketing Innovation Forum, the online marketing service for brokers, when the question of whether the event is still relevant was posted on to the site’s discussion forum, the answer came back as a resounding ‘yes’.

The question was posed by Richard Sexton of Esurv, who is the property/surveying guru on the website, and has received unanimously positive opinions from numerous industry commentators such as Alan Dring, Guy Garrard and Jonathan Cornell.

Daniel Nwaokolo, Director of Mortgage Business Expo, said: “It’s reassuring that our event is still valued by the community. Reading the comments reinforced my conviction that Expo is as relevant now as it ever has been. Perhaps more so, as the exhibitors and delegates are making a statement of intent, that they’re here to stay. And the attendees among the adviser community are taking valuable time out during a challenging time, so everyone will be heavily focussed on the recovery of our market.”

Julian Wells, Co-Founder of Marketing Innovation Forum, added: “Did anyone really take a day or two out of their diary just to gather or distribute branded pens, beers and raffle tickets to win a car at Expo in years gone by? That side of Expo will be played down this year, which is no bad thing. I’ve always been delighted to take the chance to network with many old friends and colleagues, and it has helped me build valuable new business relationships. I’ve always considered it an important date in the industry diary, and long may it continue.”
