HTB appoints head of broker for asset finance

Hampshire Trust Bank (HTB) has announced the appointment of a new head of broker for its asset finance division.

Vincenzo Scalzone has joined the bank in this newly created position where he will be responsible for further developing its asset finance broker business.

One of Vincenzo’s key tasks will be further enhancing HTB’s broker service, which will be done through continued investment in IT systems as well as by broadening the bank’s proposition to the broker market.

Vincenzo will report to Jon Maycock, who was appointed managing director of the asset finance division earlier this year.

Vincenzo brings 20 years of asset finance experience and joins after serving as the head of supplier sales at Shire Leasing.

“It is an exciting stage in the bank’s journey and I am looking forward to helping shape the strategic direction of the division as we head into the next phase of development,” said Vincenzo.

“Hampshire Trust Bank prides itself on establishing long-term business relationships.”

Vincenzo added that it wanted to work in partnership with its brokers by helping them to grow and develop their businesses.

“In order to do this, we aim to offer a one-stop shop by not only providing vehicle finance, but funding for a full range of soft and hard assets for anything from IT to catering equipment and plant and machinery.

“I am looking forward to helping [to] broaden and enhance our proposition further.”

Jon welcomed Vincenzo’s arrival, adding: “There are a wealth of opportunities that the team here [is] well positioned to capitalise on and Vincenzo will help to drive the asset finance broker business forward.”
