The merged firm will be known as Lindsays.
The merger will see Aitken Nairn WS partners Kenneth Stanley and Morag Yellowlees, along with 15 other members of staff, join Lindsays’ offices at Caledonian Exchange in Edinburgh.
Lindsays was established in 1815 by cousins Frederick Fothringham and John Lindsay and has offices in Dundee, Glasgow, Edinburgh and North Berwick.
The law firm provides advice on commercial property, renewable energy and holiday lets as well as offering a full range of legal services to businesses, families and individuals.

Alasdair Cummings, managing partner at Lindsays, said: “We are delighted with this merger.

Aitken Nairn WS also specialises in commercial property and leasing as well as residential conveyancing and estate agency.
