Two law firms merge




Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors has announced that it has joined forces with Ellis Lakin & Co. as it looks to continue its support for local businesses and individuals in the North Yorkshire region.

The new firm will be known as Crombie Wilkinson Ellis Lakin Solicitors and will provide a broader range of services for the agricultural community in Pickering, North Yorkshire, and the surrounding area.

Crombie Wilkinson specialises in areas such as commercial property, conveyancing and company law.

As part of the merger, Jessica Appleby, senior associate solicitor at Crombie Wilkinson, who specialises in wills, property and agricultural law, will move from the Malton office to join the team in Pickering.

Greg Cross, solicitor and collaborative lawyer at Crombie Wilkinson, will also join Jessica to expand the family law advice service available to people in Pickering.

Jennifer Bartram, senior director and head of the agricultural team at Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors, said she was pleased to welcome the partners and staff of Ellis Lakin to the firm.


“The Crombie Wilkinson team [is] pleased to assist them in expanding legal service provision to their clients in and around Pickering.
 
“The firm will now employ a team of 110 lawyers and support staff across North Yorkshire to continue our provision of quality and specialist legal services in this region.  

“It is our intention to continue to expand those legal services across the county.”
