Commercial online agent launches crowdfunding round

Virtual Commercial has launched its first crowdfunding round on Crowdcube.

The online commercial property agent aims to raise £300,000 to support the company’s further growth and help build on its already established foundations.

The crowdfunding round was launched on 17th June and will be open for private investment only until 20% of the total has been raised, at which point it will be opened up to the wider public.

“The commercial sector is far more antiquated and fragmented than the residential sector, meaning that there is a huge opportunity to gain market share from the incumbents, who as of yet, have failed to adapt to the changing environment of the UK property market,” said Andrew Vertes, CEO at Virtual Commercial (pictured above).

“We’ve watched closely as the long overdue disruption of residential estate agency has gained momentum and it’s clear that the consumer welcomes a model based on a fairer fixed fee, a higher expectation with [regards] to the service delivered and a greater deal of control and transparency when managing their sale.

“We’re proud to be leading this change in the commercial sector and of the growth we’ve already achieved since launching the business.

“However, this crowdfunding round will not only allow us to build on this foundation, but will also offer the public a chance to be part of the journey.”
