VAS Valuation Group hires its first general manager

VAS Valuation Group has appointed Ashley Kirton (pictured above) to the newly created role of general manager.

She joins the company from B&Q, where she was showroom manager — prior to this, she held key positions at Tesco and Tesco Mobile.

In her new role, Ashley will report to the firm’s operations director Louise Chapman, and will be responsible for ensuring all customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met, while working closely with the heads and assistant heads of all VAS Panel departments to ensure high standards of customer service.

Commenting on Ashley’s appointment, Louise said: “Team leadership and customer service are critical to our next growth phase and Ashley has a proven track record of delivering these in two of the most demanding retailers in the UK.

“We welcome her warmly to team VAS and are very excited by the important role she will play.”

Ashley added: “When I met with Louise and heard how far the business had come in five years, I knew what was required.

“The company puts service at its very heart, and to continue to deliver and surpass customer SLAs every department needs to be running seamlessly; that’s what I’ll bring.”
