UTB makes two senior appointments




UTB has made two new senior appointments in customer service and operations.

Alan O’Shea has been promoted to head of customer experience, while Stella Kitanos has joined as head of operations for the bank’s deposits division.

Alan joined UTB in December 2019 and has worked in banking for 20 years, starting with Barclays and subsequently moving to Metro Bank.

Stella’s banking career spans more than 30 years  working in senior customer service and operations roles within financial services businesses including Tandem Money,  Octopus Investments and, most recently, Ziglu.


In her new role with UTB, Stella is responsible for managing the operations and service of the deposits business including personal, business, ISA and charity deposit accounts.

Brian Todd, head of deposits at UTB, commented: “Alan is a fantastic advocate for the customer, and over the last few years he has helped to drive improvements to our processes and services which have delivered tangible benefits — he is the ideal person to preside over the future development of UTB’s customer experience.

“Stella brings a huge amount of service and operations experience to the team  — the knowledge she has gained working in successful savings and investment businesses will be extremely useful as we continue to grow UTB’s deposits book and develop new channels.”
