Catalyst bolsters lending team with five appointments




Catalyst, has bolstered its lending team by making five new hires.

The lender has made the appointments across its credit, servicing and new business teams as part of its 2024 growth strategy.

The new hires are Danny Scoltock (pictured above, top right), Gareth Colston (pictured above, top centre), Andrea Armillotta (pictured above, bottom centre), Jaimee Coombes (pictured above, top left), and Jade Miave (pictured above, bottom right).

Danny Scoltock joins the firm as senior credit analyst and was previously head of underwriting at TAB after spending time at West One and Equifinance.

Also appointed is Gareth Colston as senior internal BDM who was previously second-charge mortgage manager at Positive Lending, where he spent ten years at the company.


Joining as credit analyst is Andrea Armillotta who previously spent almost six years at The Mortgage Works, where nearly four years of which was spent as senior mortgage underwriter, before which he spent time at Nationwide Building Society.

Meanwhile, Jade Miave has been recruited to Catalyst as credit analyst, prior to which she worked in the BTL team at Nationwide.

Jaimee Coombes has also been appointed as servicing administrator, after she previously worked in wealth management.

Commenting on his appointment, Danny said: “I am excited to join Catalyst, I can continue to learn and grow from their experienced team, whilst utilising my previous experience to help support the continued growth of the business.

“The team have been incredibly warm and welcoming and seeing the culture they have built was also a big draw for me too!”

Anna Bennett, marketing director at Catalyst, added: “Over the last few months, we have appointed some fantastic new talent, meet our 2024 ‘fab five’! Each of our new starters will play an important role in Catalyst’s future growth.”
