Darren joined MT Finance at the start of the year from Together where he was group operations director of loans, mortgages and finance.
In his 35-year career he has also held senior roles at Redwood Bank and Lloyds.
His new role — head of commercial — will see him responsible for building the lender’s commercial division market presence, developing its product range and building relationships with brokers and clients.

"His extensive experience and deep understanding of the commercial property market makes him the ideal person to drive the growth of our new commercial division,” said Marylen Edwards, director of mortgages at MT Finance.
