The facility supports ScotLend’s offering across the UK and marks the speciality finance team at Shawbrook’s first transaction in support of a Scottish-based lender.
Founded in 2024 by David Travers and Sanjay Agarwal, ScotLend is built upon David's property lending experience and Sanjay's track record in healthcare and real estate.
The lender has plans to expand and continue supporting businesses nationwide with their bridging finance requirements.
ScotLend knew of Shawbrook’s experience in the wholesale funding market and worked with the speciality finance team to agree a bespoke facility that supports their immediate needs along with flexibility for future growth.

“There were a range of factors to consider in this transaction, including Scottish legal aspects.
“Overcoming these legal nuances has been a testament to the collaborative efforts of both our teams, and we look forward to seeing ScotLend's continued success."
Shawbrook was assisted by Fieldfisher and Morton Fraser MacRoberts on legal matters and Freeth’s acted as legal counsel for Scotlend.
