Roma Finance makes two senior appointments amid aims to double loan book by 2026

Roma Finance has made two senior appointments as the lender continues to deliver on its ambitious growth strategy to double its loan book by 2026.

Richard Wilfan (pictured above, left) has joined as a senior BDM for the North, while Joshua O’Leary (pictured above, right) takes up the role of senior relationship manager for the South.

Richard joins Roma with 17 years of experience in the specialist finance sector, having spent eight years at Together and nine years at Goldentree.

Joshua brings five years of experience in real estate finance, all gained at brokerage Mackenzie Byrne as director of development and structured finance.

The appointments follow growth for the lender throughout 2025 as it expanded its product offering and secured additional funding lines, increasing its loan book to £250m.

Michael Allison, commercial director at Roma Finance, said: “2025 has been an exceptional year for us, with record-breaking months and multiple product launches.

“Strengthening our commercial team is key to supporting our customers and brokers, as well as ensuring our ambitious, transparent targets are achieved through a talent-driven sales strategy.”

Richard added: “I’m excited to join Roma Finance at such a pivotal time for the business.

“The team’s focus on innovation and delivering strong outcomes for brokers and their customers aligns perfectly with my experience and approach, and I look forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth.”
