British challenger bank Aldermore has appointed a new Regional Sales Director to oversee its invoice finance arm, it was announced today.
Peter Flynn will become responsible for managing the lender’s invoice finance sales team throughout London and the South East, finding new ways to help SMEs unlock cash tired up in unpaid invoices and helping to improve cashflow and facilitate their future expansion.
Peter will be based in Aldermore’s Twickenham office and will report to Ross McFarlane, the firm’s Regional Managing Director for the South & Midlands.
The bank’s new hire brings with him more than 23 years of industry experience, including serving for 14 years as a main board director of both bank-owned and independent invoice finance providers.
Peter has also held board positions across both the sales and client service disciplines.
Commenting on his new role, Peter said: “Aldermore is now one of the UK’s leading independent invoice finance providers and I’m delighted to have joined at such an exciting time in its development. With mounting speculation that there may be light at the end of the recessionary tunnel, it’s critical that small and medium sized businesses are able to control their cashflow as they go for growth once again.
“Aldermore has a range of products and services specifically designed to help companies gain greater control over their cashflow and I’m looking forward to working with business owners across London and the South East.”
Ross McFarlane, Regional Managing Director - South & Midlands, said: “I would like to welcome Peter to the Aldermore senior management team. The Southern region provides Aldermore with fantastic growth opportunities and I have no doubt that with his extensive industry experience Peter will be able to make an immediate impact in his new role. I would like to wish him every success for the future”.
