B&C takes a look at what's in store at the ONLY show to visit this Autumn…
The Finance Professional Show will host lenders and funders from all across the financial stratosphere, including the High Street, bridging, secured lending, mortgages and commercial finance.
To launch the event, Members of Parliament and a member of the House of Lords will be present both to officially open the Show and speak to intermediaries about how their policies affect the industry.
The full conference programme will give visitors unprecedented access to not only presentations from leading Parliamentarians, but you have the opportunity to question them on their own policies that directly affect your markets.
For the first time since launching, the new Government-backed Business Bank will also be present with a stand, looking to gauge the opinion of the industry on the effectiveness of the new service.
The FCA will also be on hand to answer your questions on the changes to the Consumer Credit Act, as well as a range of Trade Bodies.
Crucially however, the FP Show will be home to over 60 different lenders, with nearly all of the high street lenders and challenger bank’s featuring.
Adam Tyler, CEO of the NACFB, said: “There are the names you recognise from the High Street, buy-to-let lenders, all the new challenger banks, the main players in the asset finance market, a range of peer-to-peer lenders and the new alternative funding platforms.
“So whatever financial markets you work in, or those that you are looking to develop, then this is the ONLY show to visit this Autumn.”
Here is what the sponsors think, ahead of the inaugural event:
Commenting on behalf of Aldermore, Commercial Mortgages Managing Director Rob Lankey said: “We are delighted to be supporting the FP Show. Having an event such as this allows finance professionals across all disciplines to meet, network and support the wider financial services industry. It is vital to the on-going growth of the economy and ensuring that we are all doing what we can to help support SMEs across the UK in their pursuit of securing finance.”
Shawbrook Bank’s Managing Director of Commercial Mortgages, Stephen Johnson, stated: “As one of the show sponsors, we are delighted to be taking part. The event marks a significant milestone for the financial services industry, bringing together a range of financial intermediaries and lenders under one roof. At Shawbrook, all of our business is through the broker channel so they are an integral part of our business where we are committed to deliver the best breadth of product options and an exceptional service for their customers”.
Mark Posniak, Head of Sales & Marketing at Dragonfly Property Finance, commented: “Every serious property professional and intermediary should attend this show. It will be a melting pot of knowledge from all areas of the financial services industry and I’m sure anyone who visits will benefit hugely. As one of the leading sponsors, we’re really excited to be involved.”
Andy Bishop, Head of Lloyds Banking Group Commercial Business Development, said: “We are excited to support the FP Show as it gives us great opportunity to interact with those for whom raising finance in some way is an important aspect of business life. The Show allows us to be able to demonstrate our professionalism in this arena having a large network of relationship managers, many with specialisms including property, healthcare and manufacturing. They work closely with other divisions of the Bank, such as Commercial Finance and Lex Autolease, to provide flexible lending packages individually tailored to suit customers and support the SME sector – where we continue to see a 4 per cent net lending growth. We look forward to meeting everyone on the day.”
The Finance Professional Show will be held on 6th November 2013 at Olympia Central, London.
