Be it on Instagram and Twitter, or overheard in coffee shop conversations or plastered over life experience websites, everyone seems to be compiling the ‘ultimate’ bucket list. Medinett has searched for the best ideas to include in your own list – don’t thank us all at once.

The ‘perfect’ bucket list

1. Witness the northern lights – taking a trip to the far north in winter is top priority on Alan Margolis’s list, from United Trust Bank. Experiences the dancing colours is one of the top things on lists we have seen on social media.

2. Swim with dolphins – This seems to be high up on a lot of people’s lists, and why would a mammal which supposedly has intelligence matched closely to what humans have not be on your list?

3. Go bungee jumping – Ashley Ilsen of Regentsmead told us that he has already ticked off this extreme sport, where he jumped from the world’s highest bungee jump off the Macau Tower in Macau.

4. Visit a ‘wonder of the world’ – The list of seven includes places such as the Taj Mahal in India, the Colloseum in Italy and the Great Pyramids in Egypt. Ashley said: “Maybe one day Regentsmead can help contribute to a ‘Wonder of the world’, contrary to popular belief our Edgware office is not one of them…”

5. Climb Mount Everest – Those that say ‘there aint no mountain high enough’ supposedly haven’t climbed this landmark. Alan admitted that he would love to visit the top – although he would rather venture it via a helicopter!

6. Visit the White House – Close to 10,000 people on bucketlist.org want to visit the President’s abode, where Ashley admitted he has already ticked this off his list, where he explored the East Wing.

7. Meet the Queen – Because forever after when you meet Americans and they ask you the generic question ‘do you know the queen?’,  to their surprise you can actually answer yes.

8. Visit an island in the Maldives. Alan Margolis of United Trust Bank stated that on his list he would like to buy an island in the Maldives and spend some time there.

9. Publish a book – According to bucketlist.org members, 4564 of them aspire to publish a book in their lifetime. Who knows, you could be the next best seller commuters are reading on the tube.

10. Walk along the Great Wall of China – Having spent some years living in Asia, Ashley has already conquered various parts of the Chinese tourist attraction. When Beth from Medianett visited, she was given certificates at each checkpoint she made at the wall – see how many you can get!

Some weird bucket list ideas that were found, but were too amusing to leave out:

•    Getting a cream pie in the face

•    Drawing funny faces on all the eggs in your fridge

•    Create a ‘man cave’

•    Try a fried snickers

•    Hold a tarantula
