p>Research has revealed that the vast majority of brokers feel badly let down by  solicitors when trying to strike deals with lenders.

The stats, retrieved within Amicus’ annual survey, illustrate a whopping 73 per cent of brokers quizzed felt that solicitors could do more to help both brokers and their clients.

More specifically, the main gripe from brokers related to time frames.

Commenting on the survey Keith Aldridge, Managing Director of Amicus slammed the ignorant solicitors for their lack of punctuality.

He said: “Much of the detail will be used to improve our competitive advantage so is sensitive but just as last year the fact that 73 per cent of respondents were critical of the speed of service from client’s solicitors shows that there is still much to be done by Amicus and other ASTL members to improve the education of many solicitors who remain ignorant of the often demanding time lines that are needed to ensure all stakeholders play their part in getting a case completed.”

The survey further confirmed that a 12 month loan term is the most popular timescale.

However, only one 1 per cent of clients were regularly seeking loans for longer than 18 months.

In other news, Amicus put £250 worth of theatre tickets up for grabs for one lucky participant and the prize was won by Vision Finance’s Roshan Doostdar, who was said to be delighted with her prize.
