div>Antonio Simoes has been appointed as Chief Executive of HSBC Bank plc and HSBC Europe.
Antonio joined HSBC from McKinsey & Co in 2007 and has led HSBC’s Group Strategy.
In January 2012 he was appointed Head of Retail Banking and Wealth management for Europe, before becoming Chief Executive of the UK Bank in November of the same year.
Current Chief Executive Alan Keir will step down at the end of September and will retire from the Group in March next year.
Alan has worked for HSBC since 1981 and has been in his current position since 2013.
