p>Wellesley Finance has announced the arrival of a former Aldermore manager as its new BDM as well as an associate lending manager.

Peter Hudson joins as Business Development Manager and will focus on developing the south and south west of England.

Peter has plenty of experience as a commercial banker for UK Asset Resolution as well as 18 months at Aldermore where he was a development finance manager working with brokers.

Meanwhile, Shamir Rao joins as associate lending manager and will work closely with loan officers to support them in processing bridging applications from start to completion.

Shamir has worked in the commercial and retail banking for the last eight years with Santander where he dealt with commercial mortgages, securities lending and team management.

Both will report to Thomas Clark, Head of Bridging, who said: “Peter has had a wealth of experience in the finance industry dating back to 1988 and will bring a calm, well thought out approach to the business.“

Tom added that Shamir would work closely with lending managers to ensure applications were completed quickly and efficiently.

“I am delighted to welcome Shamir to the Bridging Team - he has a very strong background in property finance and is committed and passionate to delivering a great customer service,” said Thomas.

“He will be a key point of contact for brokers, valuers and solicitors and will be a key member of the team in helping to launch our enhanced bridging platform later this year.”

Shamir added: “During my time at Santander I have worked in a range of different business areas and locations and in 2013 I was based in Barcelona Spain, working on a project for Banco Santander with the large corporate and commercial team and the international desk.

“I am joining Wellesley at a very exciting phase in their growth plans and I am excited to be part of the journey.

“I look forward to the challenges of this new role and believe I can add real value to my team and the business utilising my knowledge and experience.”
