Chief Executive James Bloom led his team on the two day journey to visit borrowers who have benefited from the development lender’s funding.
They included one who had been let down by various short term rivals who had “promised him the world”, but failed to deliver.

This was quickly rectified by a £700,000 loan from Regentsmead that contributed to the building of two large houses, one of which was sold to a Derby County football player.
Another developer, however, was not so fortunate in his dealings with a footballer.
The borrower was initially let down by a bank, then disappointed by a challenger bank that was too slow, and finally left in the lurch by a current England team player who abandoned the purchase of two properties.

The trip demonstrated the strong relationships Regentsmead has built up with its developers, and was highlighted by one who admitted that he regrettably used a rival lender on a previous project which was described as a “disastrous move”.
In that case, Regentsmead covered the full build cost of £125,000 to convert a barn in Staffordshire into a four bedroom house.
James Bloom said: “It was a long and tiring two days with several hundred miles clocked up.
“However it [was] completely worth it as you can see how much our clients appreciate us taking a genuine interest in their projects and their businesses.
“We love getting out to site and seeing the range of building[s] that we are funding, all helping contribute to the Get Britain Building campaign which is at the core of our current offering.
“We always aim to go above and beyond what is expected of a lender, and spending a couple of days on the road visiting our clients is a great way of showing it.”
