The challenger bank has appointed Colin Stevens as Head of Bridging while Iain McCarrell has joined as Senior Underwriter.
The announcement follows news that Hampshire Trust Bank has recently expanded into the commercial mortgages and professional landlord sectors.
Colin Bell, Managing Director of Commercial Mortgages, said there is a growing demand for bridging finance.
He said: “Bridging loans form an important part of the mortgage funding market, providing a relatively speedy short-term solution to get people on the move.
“The bridging, commercial and professional landlords’ mortgage sectors represent a wealth of opportunities for us.”
Colin Stevens brings 25 years of experience in property lending while Iain joins with 15 years of underwriting experience having worked at Amicus.
“We are delighted to welcome Colin and Iain on board,” added Colin Bell.
“They both have a great deal of experience in specialist lending and they are an important addition to our expanding specialist commercial mortgages team.”

Iain concluded by saying that he was delighted to have joined the team at Hampshire Trust Bank.
