Chris Wilman will join the property consultancy as a director and will lead the building surveying team in Manchester.
He will be joined by senior surveyor Matt Gaffey and both will start on 23rd July.
Together with senior surveyor Steven McKay, who has already joined Naismiths’ Leeds office, the new recruits will play a vital role in growing the business’s capability in the North.
“Chris, Matt and Steven have joined Naismiths at an exciting, challenging and rewarding time,” said Gareth Belsham, national head of building surveying at Naismiths (pictured above).

“The firm is enjoying sustained growth across all its UK operations, but the northern market has emerged as a real hotspot – meaning our teams in Manchester and Leeds are playing a key role in our success.”
The consultancy – which is currently monitoring more than £2bn of development funding on behalf of institutional investors and finance providers – offers a full suite of surveying and project management services across the whole asset lifecycle.
“Our new recruits bring a trusted pedigree, extensive market knowledge and considerable energy,” added Gareth.
“Together they will ramp up our capability across the Northern Powerhouse, helping us protect more clients’ interests and deliver best value at all stages of investment, construction and operation.”
